If you haven’t heard yet of Twitter you should check out their site www.twitter.com. Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.
Twitter is an amazing tool to connect with other people and to keep your friends updated about “what you are doing right now”. I personally use Twitter a lot to reach out to other BlackBerry user and share information about my blog.
Twitter has already helped me to meet people I would have never met before in such a short time-frame. Twitter helps you to start conversations and you will meet interesting people you never thought you would meet.
Of course Twitter is not just available online but you can also send updates through your mobile phone. While you can configure Twitter to work with text SMS, I highly recommend to use dedicated software. Here is a list of applications that allow you to use Twitter from your BlackBerry.
